Hey folks! There are some new subscribers to my newsletter, so I wanted to start off by welcoming you in, it's great to see you here. I'm not the type to bombard people with nothing, I prefer to send out newsletters as and when I have anything of note to say, so don't worry that I'm going to get pushy! Welcome on board! So, what's been happening?Editing! Lots and lots of editing. I edit other people's manuscripts as a side gig, I've had three full manuscripts in September, plus a beta read of a full manuscript, plus my own editing on The Masocheist, and then of course, my reading and reviewing of other people's finished books. Phew! So - fellow book writer people - if you are looking for an editor, get in contact, I am pretty cheap, and brutally honest! I am happy to do free samples. What else? The Masocheist is around 2/3 done, in various drafts. I am not a typical writer in that I tend to tighten and retighten drafts as I go (I know, I know, it's not a quick or intelligent system, but it works), but that's pretty good, the novel is a longer one due to the massive reveal about 3/4 of the way through, and the last 1/4 is going to blow your mind, so I reserve the right to be smug about it all :D Plus we have the appearance of Famine, in all her/his/its glory, so I'm hyped to be writing a nonbinary character. Below is Bernhard's first impression (it depends on who is looking)
